Poland’s Syndrome Reconstruction
Before and After Photos – Patient 2
Correction of Chest Asymmetry with Custom Made Pec Implant
This 18 year old patient presented to Dr. Siamak Agha for right chest reconstructive surgery. The patient was born with Poland’s syndrome with absence of right breast tissue as well as right pectoralis muscle. Dr. Agha planned to make a custom-made silicone chest implant for the patient to correct the absence of soft tissue of the right chest and to create a more symmetrical chest compared with the left side. Following mold taking, a custom-made silicone implant was ordered for the patient. This implant was subsequently inserted into his right chest via a small incision under his armpit. Patient’s post-operative pictures were taken at about three months after his surgery.
