MACS Facelift, Platysmaplasty, Neck Lift & Lower Blepharoplasty
This 60-year-old patient presented to Dr. Agha at The Aesthetic Centers for facial rejuvenation surgery. The patient was concerned about her lower lid hollowing, cheek deflation, jowling and sagging skin under her jawline and neck. As we get older, our deeper facial tissue, sag causing jowls and neck skin laxity. The jowls lead to unwanted changes in the contour of the female face, making it more rectangular instead of the desired triangular, youthful look. To address these issues, Dr. Agha devised a comprehensive surgical plan, including a MACS facelift, platysmaplasty, neck lift, and lower blepharoplasty.
Dr. Agha started the surgery by performing a lower eyelid blepharoplasty, carefully excising lower eyelid skin to maintain symmetry and a natural look. Moving on to the neck, he tightened her neck muscles by completing a corset platysmaplasty. This technique significantly reduced the appearance of neck muscle bands. Finally, he performed the MACS facelift, and injected around 9 cc of fat into each of her cheeks to restore volume and enhance the overall facial structure. MACS stands for Minimal-Access Cranial Suspension, a minimally invasive procedure involving the anchoring of facial tissues to a higher position, with minimal scarring, lower risks, and a faster recovery.
The patient was elated to see decades of aging washed away. Her jawline looks crisp and well-defined, giving her face a more youthful and sculpted contour. The neck lift resulted in a tighter, more refined neck, eliminating the previous sagging skin. Overall, her face contour was restored to a much more triangular and youthful state, highlighting her natural beauty. The combination of these procedures not only rejuvenated her appearance but also boosted her confidence, providing her with a vibrant and revitalized look.
Patients post-operative pictures were taken at about 1 1/2 years after her facelift surgery.
