TOTAL BODY LIFT
In Non-Weight Loss Patient 42

This patient in her mid-fifties presented to Dr. Siamak Agha for a lower body lift and arm lift surgery. Although not a weight loss person, the patient was unhappy with her lower body skin and tissue excess, her thigh skin laxity and cellulite, as well as her arm’s batwings. The patient wished to undergo skin removal to tighten these areas. On examination, the patient was found to have excess skin of her arms, armpit sagging, thigh skin excess vertically and circumferentially, buttocks sagging, abdominal and waist tissue excess and looseness, as well as a midline abdominal scar from a previous surgery.

The patient first underwent a 2 ½ hours L-brachioplasty (arm lift) surgery to remove the excess skin of the upper arm and to lift the arm pit area. Several months later, During a 7 ½ hours surgery, Dr. Agha performed liposuction to sculpt the patient’s body and a lower body lift. The latter included a tummy tuck, monsplasty (pubic lift), outer thigh lift, thigh front lift, and buttocks lift. At the same time, lower back fat pads were used to augment the buttocks shape while being lifted. Also, liposuctioned fat was transferred into the buttocks for further shaping and optimizing the buttocks’ roundness.

Finally, Dr. Agha performed a Spiral thigh lift on the patient to lift the back of her thighs and inner thighs. The Spiral Thigh Lift incision is placed in the groin crease and ends under the buttock crease. This procedure was developed by Drs. Dennis Hurwitz and Siamak Agha in 2007. The patient’s post lower body lift pictures were taken about 3 months after her surgery.
