WHAT IS A DEEP PLANE UPPER LIP LIFT?
The classic lip lift procedure utilizes a “bullhorn” shaped incision beneath the nose with a skin-only excision. This technique resulted in sub-optimal results due to a high-tension closure with no deep structural support. With the deep plane technique, the deep layer is released and secured to stable structures beneath the nose improving cosmesis. The overall result is a nearly imperceptible scar, minimal distortion of the nose, and a more natural result.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR UPPER LIP LIFT?
Traditionally the lip lift procedure was reserved for older patients with a long upper lip secondary to aging. The deep plane lip lift can benefit both younger and older patients. Patients who wish to decrease the need for filler and have a more permanent result are good candidates for a lip lift. The lip lift can help increase tooth show, shorten a long upper lip, increase the pink portion of the lip, give the lip a more defined appearance, and improve asymmetries.

Dr. Razfar is an amazing doctor who knows exactly what you want and brings your imagination into real life. I got my surgery a little over a month ago, and even though the swelling isn’t all the way down, I love my results so far. I told Dr. Razfar exactly what I wanted and he did that for me and it turned out better than I had ever imagined. Dr. Razfar puts a lot of focus into every aspect of the nose, which I really appreciate. Going into my surgery I was unable to breathe fully through both nostrils, and he fixed that for me. I love how my nose looks and I love that I can breathe now. Dr. Razfar is also a very nice and understanding doctor who makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. From the moment you go to a consultation to the day of your surgery, and even after, you feel as if you can trust Dr. Razfar and you know you are in good hands. Amazing doctor!!! Dr. Razfar is very knowledgeable and is the best plastic surgeon that I have met. I did my homework and had a consultation with several doctors for my rhinoplasty. They all seemed to be telling me how they felt that my nose should look and cared less about how I wanted it to look. Dr. Razfar listened to me first and made suggestions based on what I wanted. Before my nose surgery I was very nervous but after my first appointment with him all my questions were answered and I had no worries. He explained every step of the procedure in detail and explained what to expect. He took his time during surgery and made sure my breathing was fixed along with any other cosmetic corrections that I wanted. I had very minimal bruising and pain. He did an amazing job and my nose is exactly how I wanted it. All my friends who had their rhinoplasty with any other doctors wish that they went to Dr. Razfar. THANK YOU doctor for giving me the extra confidence that I needed with a perfect nose. I would rate him 10 stars if it was an option:)
