BREAST AUGMENTATION REVISION
BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS – PATIENT 13

Implant Exchange and Breast Asymmetry Correction

This beautiful patient consulted Dr. Siamak Agha at The Aesthetic Centers for breast augmentation revision. The patient wished to change her breast implants for larger implants.

On examination, the patient was found to have breast asymmetry. The right breast appeared to be smaller with less upper pole fullness than the left one. Also the right breast implant was lower than the left side with a lower inframammary crease.  Furthermore, the left breast implant was more central than the right implant.  In summary, this means that the right breast implant pocket is lower and further out than the left implant pocket that is positioned correctly.

During a 3 hours breast revision surgery, Dr. Agha first removed the patient’s breast implants through her current inframammary crease incisions. Next, the right inframammary crease was reconstructed at a higher position by placing a series of internal sutures to close the lower implant pocket and to reconstruct the inframammary crease at a position that is symmetrical with the left one.  Next, the outer aspect of the right implant pocket was closed off by placing internal sutures again. Finally, the more central aspect of the right pocket was opened up.  These series of measures take detailed planning and precise execution since so many corrections needed to converge hand in hand.  Finally, larger silicone implants were placed back into both pockets.

The post-operative before and after pictures were taken one year after her breast augmentation revision surgery.
